3. Results and Discussions Crushed Aggregate's Effects on Slumps of Concrete. The Figure 1 depicts slum value of A1 coarse aggregates for all five groups. For Impact Crushed (A1) coarse aggregates slump values were evaluated for all five groups and it was evident from experiment that, there was a steady decrease in slump value with the decrease of w/c ratio.
1 Answer 1. active oldest votes. up vote 7 down vote. Crushed concrete is a very good substrate for a slab. The key is to not have chunks so large that air pockets are created. Maybe bring in a layer of sand to fill the voids and level things a bit. A water rinse will help bring air out and compact the material.

We have ¾" minus crushed rock which works great but the most popular ...
Plastics themselves make poor concrete aggregates as they lack the surface microtexture to make a good mechanical bond with the cementaggregate slurry unless they are reduced in size. Additionally, I would believe that as the concrete hydrates, they would form a weak chemical bond, which can be minimized similarly by the reduction in plastic aggregate size.
Kafka Granite's crushed granite, marble, quartz and recycled materials (porcelain, copper slag, etc.) can be used in decorative precast pavers and a broad assortment of amenities such as precast concrete water fountains, trash bins, snuffers, planters, tables, benches, columns, chairs and more.
Nowadays, the sources of natural aggregates are depleted by increases in demand of using a material in building and infrastructure construction and maintenance facilities. This depletion leads to the utilisation of crushed concrete waste to replace natural aggregates in road and highway construction.

Use of recycled concrete aggregate in highstrength concrete. The effects of coarse RCA content on the ceiling strength, bulk engineering and durability properties of such concretes have been established. The results showed that up to 30% coarse RCA had no effect on concrete strength, but therafter there was a gradual reduction as...
This standard covers the requirements for aggregates, crushed or uncrushed, derived from natural sources, such as river terraces and river beds, glacial deposits, rocks, boulders and gravels, for use in the Production of concrete for normal structural purposes including mass concrete works. 4
